When I was in high school, I made myself promise to do my homework in bed if I got a B on the night before my next class. I made good on that promise. I also went to class tired, and I rarely missed any of the assignments because I was so tired that I could barely focus on them. I definitely benefited from making that promise to myself to do my homework in bed. I ended up getting B’s all four years of college.
Even though your kids might not think so, you can actually help them out by doing your homework in bed. In fact, one of the best ways to encourage children to do their homework is to make it fun for them. Keep things interesting; think up new games, activities, or worksheets that will keep your kids engaged. It will keep them excited about learning and doing their homework, and it will eventually encourage them to do it on their own. Of course, you need to make sure that your homework is actually worth doing, but it will do your child a world of good if they do their homework well.
Another great reason to do your homework in bed is that your kid will have a much better nights sleep, and you won’t be disturbing them as you go to work. Everyone needs a good night’s sleep, and kids especially need theirs. Some people even refer to sleeping as “life”, and it should be enjoyed. If you are tired, then you are not going to do very well at work, and it will only get worse when you get up the next morning.
When you do your homework in bed, it will also keep you from being a drowsy sleeper. Some people will experience more insomnia after doing homework, but the truth is that your body needs at least a few hours of sleep in order to do what it needs to do. Kids who do their homework in bed often have less problems with insomnia and sleep apnea, which is a serious sleeping disorder. There are several symptoms of these disorders that can include daytime sleepiness, irritability, headaches, tension, and depression. Many of these same symptoms can appear in adults, but usually in lesser numbers.
You should be able to do your homework in bed by yourself without having to worry about falling asleep, being uncomfortable, or waking up early. Of course, this won’t always work out like you want it to, but with consistent practice, you will find that you are comfortable enough to do it on your own. It is important to make sure that you don’t do any heavy lifting before you go to sleep, because this can really put you to sleep. Also, it is important to make sure that you are completely relaxed before going to bed, or else you could become excited and jump out of bed from being too excited.
It is also important to remember that if you do your homework in bed, you will have more time to do other things. This means that you won’t have to worry about being bored or having nothing to do, so you can do your homework when you are not feeling very well. This is great for relieving stress and easing tension, which can lead to a number of other problems as well. If you can do some of your work when you are not feeling well, you will find that you are much more productive.
One last tip to follow when you do your homework in bed is to try and relax before you do anything. Boredom does not only make you feel sluggish, but it can also really do damage to your body. Make sure that you are taking deep slow breaths whenever you are getting tense, and remember that it is okay to stop for a minute. You can get yourself in better mental and physical health by taking small breaks every once in a while. These tips are very easy to follow, and they will definitely help you do your homework in bed the way that works best for you.
